Fill up the Shelf

 

 

 

 I went to the market this morning to buy some cheese and bread and other bits I need, and stopped at the shelf for energy drinks.  I occasionally like Celsius ... they have a lot of flavors as you can see from the above image.  But the entire shelf for Celsius had one flavor only ...  Maybe 120 cans of that flavor stacked 20-25 across and 5-6 deep.



Did they not have any other flavor?  Why?  Who didn't order the multitude of flavors available?  Or were the two workers just filling space with whatever was available first.  Why would you just put the kiwi guava flavor out and nothing else?  Maybe they didn't have more ...

Except up near the front in a small cooler were 3-4 more flavors with 2-3 bottles each.  So they did have or do have the flavors ... so ...

Why.

It is frustrating to watch and be a part of a meltdown in the competence of the workers of:  the area, the city, the ... country.   I know - the connection between Celsius and workers incompetence is a stretch at best - a generalization, but I have commented on a roof and driveways before and fine, you can dismiss that also ... the issue is not relegated to one small part of, nor just in my location.  It is much wider than that, much more insidious. 

I am taking my pet to the vet in 45 minutes ... they want me to call them from the parking lot before I come in, to register the pet.  They did this when Covid started and still do.  She told me - we are still having our furry family call us from the parking lot first to get them registered and speed up their time in the office.  I thought about it for a minute and ... no, they haven't.  They stopped it because I have been in a couple times since and no calling first.  So the calling is to make the: a) animal happier and get them processed faster?  b) make everyone safer c) the vets said so d) the front office like it better as it is probably easier for them.  Hmm.  I wonder which one.  D.  I can't imagine what the correct answer might be D.  Hmm.  maybe A?  D.  Could it be B?  D.  Could it be C?  D .... hmmm. I don't know what the correct answer might be.  

Maybe we should let the youngins figure it out!

No time to stop and read the details! Just smokin'

And now that the evidence has had time to accumulate, it’s also become clear that the extravagant promises made by anti-smoking groups—that implementing bans would bring about extraordinary improvements in cardiac health—never materialized. Newer, better studies with much larger sample sizes have found little to no correlation between smoking bans and short-term incidence of heart attacks, and certainly nothing remotely close to the 60 percent reduction that was claimed in Helena.
