Long Time ... a road to Damascus

Image
The image above is the possible path Paul took to Damascus - his road to Damascus.  It is a long road and, often in life, filled with pitfalls and sadness, hopefully some happy and joyful moments. From one point to the final point is the road to Damascus - July 21 to November 5.  Our long road to Damascus.  That road is almost over, at least the end path, but part of the road ... well.  As we journey we leave behind detritus and some of that will resurrect itself in the days, weeks, months, and years to follow.  My prediction - more damage will come from that (the actions/consequence of July 21) then from all the division and anger in the campaigns.  Just wait. So to the story.  Saul, leaves for Damascus hearing about many Christians praying to their God ... and off he goes to find them and persecute / kill them.  Along the way, a blinding light knocks him from his horse to the ground ... On July 21, Joe Biden was at his home, on a Sunday e...

The Lie

Image
The adage that if you tell a lie enough times, you believe it - never could I imagine it worked for the entirety of media, but it has.   Shame on you all. Biden when asked why he ran in 2020, stated (I am paraphrasing but the quote exists and you can find it) - I ran because of what Trump said about Charlottesville and KKK members being fine folks. CNN told that story, CBS retold it, NBC told it.  MSNBC told it.  ABC told it.  New York Times told it.  And it was a lie.  Lie.  Lie.  Do you understand the difference between braggadocio and lie, between self-inflating ones ego and a lie, between causing and creating harm to ones character and misleading people.  A lie is not what Trump told.  Trump tends to exaggerate... greatly.  The media lied to the American people and the world about Trumps comments concerning Charlottesville.   When Biden and many other political elite retold the lie, the media did not call t...

Gaza and Hamas

Hamza Howidy.  Look him up. He is but one man with a story.  His story is echoed by dozens of other Palestinians.  Their stories are the reality they live - not the fantasy and fiction shown on our screens. Howidy wrote an opinion article for Newsweek.  Look it up It is a shame what silly spoiled children will believe and what a willing enabling media do to pervert truth. It's like Biden - do you believe that the entire media have truly believed what the mouthpiece for the White House says about Biden - that all is well, he is doing great ... the media know the truth, they simply refused to tell it.  That is a lie.  Gaza is another - they know the truth, they simply refuse to tell it.  That is a lie and worse because they end up being accomplices to Hamas' crimes.   And they have the nerve to talk about Trump and his puffery ...

If you wish, look into the last years of Pope John Paul II.  I believe one of the 20th centuries greatest popes, and perhaps the best in 3-4 centuries.  I admit, he, like Queen Elizabeth, was the Pope of my life, as she was the Queen.  I was 10 when he became pope and in my late 20s/ early 30s when he died.  It had an impact on  me, as did the Queens death.  Doesn't matter I didn't know either. John Paul suffered with an incredibly debilitating disease.  The two assassination attempts left him scared.  He had several cancer treatments and had Parkinsons.  He was also suffering from hearing issues and osteoarthrosis. He was crippled, couldn't walk, had memory issues, and could very well have given up his pontificate in favor of a quiet life for the remaining weeks or months he may have had but he said NO.  Like the Queen, he refused to give up and a promise made, was a promise kept. Today, it is unlikely we will see such hon...

The 25th

Image
I read a quote by Biden - You can’t be pro-insurrection and pro-democracy. You can’t be pro-insurrection and pro-American.  And then this - a little nugget .... "I hold it that a little rebellion now and then is a good thing, and as necessary in the political world as storms in the physical. Unsuccesful rebellions indeed generally establish the incroachments on the rights of the people which have produced them. An observation of this truth should render honest republican governors so mild in their punishment of rebellions, as not to discourage them too much. It is a medecine necessary for the sound health of government."  That was from a letter Jefferson sent to Madison.  2nd President to Fourth President.  I believe it was 1787 He is wrong as are the whackadoodle Democrats who spin this shit.   I don't want to post the videos, there are too many - where this man is confused, lost, unaware, disturbed ... and mentally out of it, yet NO ONE in th...

The 25th Amendment: Reagan and Biden

Image
In 1987, at the age of 76, Republicans became concerned enough, that they held a meeting at which several major figures in the Reagan Administration sat around the president to listen, watch , and ask him questions - trying to discern whether he was mentally present.  There had been stories about his lackadaisical manner - lack of interest in reading or listening to people drone on about whatever bureaucratic issue.  These Republicans were considering invoking the 25th Amendment.  What they found was that Reagan was mentally present, sometimes distracted, but fully aware - especially when the issue was of interest, and was not as had been described as 'inattentive and inept'.   Reagan had ear damage from his acting days when a gun went off near his ear.  He lost hearing or considerable amount of hearing in that ear - so when people talked to him from the wrong side, he would often appear as if he was inattentive.  He also preferred one on one di...

All the News thats Fit to Print

Note:  The point is to read this, absorb it, and as a generalization of WP, NYT and others ... consider it when reading news about anything right of left.   I Was a Heretic at The New York Times I did what I was hired to do, and I paid for it. By Adam Rubenstein   Illustration by The Atlantic. Source: Getty. February 26, 2024, 7:31 AM ET   Produced by ElevenLabs and NOA, News Over Audio, using AI narration. On one of my first days at The New York Times , I went to an orientation with more than a dozen other new hires. We had to do an icebreaker: Pick a Starburst out of a jar and then answer a question. My Starburst was pink, I believe, and so I had to answer the pink prompt, which had me respond with my favorite sandwich. Russ & Daughters’ Super Heebster came to mind, but I figured mentioning a $19 sandwich wasn’t a great way to win new friends. So I blurted out, “The spicy chicken sandwich from Chick-fil-A,” and considered the ice...
