If our Culture was not busy enough trying to drag us into The Age of No Innocence. a study from UC Berkeley in 2018- Shampoo and Toothpaste and soap can bring on puberty earlier in girls.

These endocrine disrupters are commonly found in hygiene products ... so for more than 20 years according to the study, the onset of puberty has been earlier and earlier leading to some medical and ... behavioral issues.

It is the behavior issues I would like to think about.

Whether the behavioral issues are simply tantrums or sexual, whether it is a developed mind-set about them and who they are as people.  Interesting that last point - brains do not fully develop until 25, until that time they are still under development .... and so we have, say a 17 year old who knows she is X or is entitled to Y because of Z ...   That girl still has a brain that has not fully formed and may have been thrust into puberty way before she should have and doesn't know it.  


Yet we still march on as if none of this matters.

No time to stop and read the details! Just smokin'

And now that the evidence has had time to accumulate, it’s also become clear that the extravagant promises made by anti-smoking groups—that implementing bans would bring about extraordinary improvements in cardiac health—never materialized. Newer, better studies with much larger sample sizes have found little to no correlation between smoking bans and short-term incidence of heart attacks, and certainly nothing remotely close to the 60 percent reduction that was claimed in Helena. The updated science debunks the alarmist fantasies that were used to sell smoking bans to the public, allowing for a more sober analysis suggesting that current restrictions on smoking are extreme from a risk-reduction standpoint.
